Easter Sunday

We have church at 9:00 am and struggle to be there on time on a regular Sunday, so thinking of doing Easter baskets before church seemed impossible. We must have talked up the Easter bunny pretty good before bed because Cam was awake by 7:00 am. I couldn't resist and let him go on his search for his baskets (one from the bunny and one from Grandma Mia) right when he woke up.

The bunny hid a basket in the dryer and we hid Grandma Mia's on the baby swing.

Cam is so lucky to have grandparents that love and spoil him. He had a basket waiting at Gramy and Papa's too! 3 baskets total! I'd say he enjoyed this day!

He called Grandma Mia to say thanks and insisted on calling the bunny right after to say thank you too!

Eggs Galore!

Saturday night we went to Scott's parents and colored Easter eggs. Cam had so much fun and did so good. He loved everything about the process and was a pro at cracking the eggs while dropping them in the cups of dye.

Easter Egg Hunt

This year we took Cam to an Easter egg hunt in Farmington. We have never been to an egg hunt the community puts together and didn't know exactly what to expect, besides eggs with candy of course.

There were a TON of people there!!! They had the kids broken up into age groups and had the little kids, 0-3 years, go last. That meant waiting a little over 1/2 an hour in line before we were able to start.

 That's a long time for a little one to wait, if you ask me!

They led us over to the the tennis courts where they had hundreds of eggs spread out. We had to wait another 15 minutes for everyone to line up around the sides. Another hard thing to ask a 2-year-old!

Cam did really good waiting and not touching, but asked 100 times if it was time yet.  

Charge!! He ran in the middle skipping over tons of eggs.

He filled up his basket and was so excited to see all the eggs he collected. He loved all the candy and prizes.

This was a great hunt and I will go again next year, but will plan on getting there a little later and hopefully cut some of the waiting time.

St. George Weekend

Over conference weekend, our friends, Kim and Andy, invited us to St. George with them. It was such a great weekend to go too! The weather was great and we enjoyed the sun.

We went to the splash pad and played in the water. Cam and Campbell had so much fun. It was fun to see them play and enjoy themselves outside. It made me wish summer was here already!

I didn't have my camera with me as much as I should have and didn't get a lot of pictures of our other adventures.

Thanks Kim and Andy for inviting us and having us stay with you! We loved it and Cam already misses Campbell!

On our way home, we stopped and visited Scott's Grandpa Talbot. Cam is in love with him and calls him his "near one grandpa."

Grandpa Talbot always pays so much attention to Cam and is sure to give him treats every time we see him.

Driving home was awful. It was rainy and snowy and, by the time we got to SL, it was 30 degrees! A pretty drastic change from leaving the 75 degree weather.  We looked funny at the rest stop with our shorts and flip flops on while it was snowing. I cannot wait for summer, parks, playing outside, flip flop tan lines, and picnics. This trip was a tease!
