Computer problems...UGHH!!!

I have been trying to post for so long and could not. I am not sure what was going on with the computer. I couldn't even post the cute pictures of Cameron or change my background. Anyone else have problems?

Things are still the same, Scott has yet to find a job. Nobody is even hiring it seems. It is such a tough time right now, so scary! I am extremely grateful for my job and the opportunity I have to work, but it is hard. It breaks my heart everyday I leave Cameron. I don't know how mom's do it. People always say it gets easier with time, and I am waiting for that!

Cameron is growing and changing everyday. He had his 6 month check up a couple weeks ago and he did fabulous. He is such a tall little boy, 29 inches! That is 96 percentile! He was just under 20 pounds, and after starting him on solids, I am guessing has hit the big 2-0.
He was so excited when we gave him his first serving of rice cereal. He was grabbing my hands to feed him faster. He has done well with the veggies too. He really likes carrots. Not so interested in the green beans though. He will eat them because they are there, but not with much excitement.

Update

It has been ages since I posted! Sorry, it has been pretty busy the last couple weeks.

I am sad to announce, Scott fell victim to the economy and was laid off last week. It has been really hard for Scott to figure out what to do next. Job hunting is the worst! We are very grateful that I have been able to come back to work full time until he finds something. On the other hand, it is so hard for me to be away from my little man. When I see him after a long day at work, he looks so different! So grown up!

The day after we found out about Scott's job, I met with my visiting teacher. I had explained what happened with Scott and she made me feel so much better. She had a similar situation happen with her a few months before. She had to finish up student teaching and had to work while her husband stayed at home with her baby. She said it was hard, but that it was a great experience for her husband and the baby. It really is not very often that dads get to stay at home and play Mr. Mom. I am so glad Scott gets to be with Cameron while I am away and am excited to see the closeness they will share.

But I also look forward to Scott finding a job so I can be back home! I miss Cameron more than ever.

On a lighter note, Cameron is officially half a year old! I cannot believe my little love is 6 months! Time has flown. I have truly enjoyed EVERYDAY he has been here with us. I am so blessed to have such an amazing baby. He is doing so many things now. He has been sitting up by himself now for about a month, which makes play time on the floor a blast! He talks so much and I can't wait for him to say Mama! I know it will be awhile, but I feel he is getting closer! I am constantly saying...ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma over and over to him. He will get it!!

Thank you so much for choosing your Dad and me to be your parents. These last 6 months, you have brought so much joy to our lives that we didn't know was even possible. You are constantly amazing us with how much you change and develop each day. You are so happy, sweet, energetic, and loving. We are so lucky to have you and can't wait to watch you grow even more.

Thanks for being a good sleeper, kisser, cuddle bug, eater...everything!

We took the baby swimming for the first time this weekend. He had a blast! He was a little distracted by everything that was going on, so he barely smiled for any pictures. I was lucky if he even looked at me!

So we got a Wii for Christmas. It has been so fun and a little addicting! I finally got Mario Cart...the last one!! YAHHOO That was hard to get.

This is by far my favorite picture. They were playing a game where they had to either brush their teeth, shave, or apply deodorant like the "major" was doing on the game. They were so confused! Notice how each of them are doing something different! Scott is brushing, JP is shaving and Steph is applying deodorant.

Stephani was so serious playing some of the games. It was great to watch... Here she is laughing though. JP was hysterical!

Christmas with Scott's family

We celebrated Christmas with Scott's family yesterday since Scott was out of town.

We got a lot of great things. Scott got some basketball shoes, PJ's, golf stuff and stuff for the Wii.

I got a gift certificate to get pictures taken of Cameron at a place in Bountiful. Cameron got a lot of cute toys and PJ's.

Christmas in Michigan

Christmas in Michigan was great! It also feels great to be back, but I sure miss my family. The baby did FANTASTIC throughout the entire trip. He was fabulous on the plane. Of course, I was worried for nothing. I don't even think he realized his ears were popping since he had a big bag of toys in front of him. I am proud to say that I traveled with him all by myself on the way there and neither one of us had any meds! YAHHOO!
We were spoiled by my Mom this year, like every Christmas! Scott's big gift was a Wii and I got a new camera. Cameron got a lot of cute clothes, toys and books. Come on, what else do you get a 4 1/2 month old little boy?!

Grandma Rosemary and Cameron at a wedding we attended. (Funny story, I sat on a couch just outside the chapel during the ceremony because Cam needed in to eat. There were some people that came in late and were standing near us at the doors watching the ceremony. I don't like burping the baby around others because I think it is kind of rude, so I went to the bathroom to change him and then try to burp him. Nothing came. So, I went back and sat down, we played queitly and everything was great. Then, out of nowhere, while everything was quiet, Cam let out this ginormous burp!! Everyone standing near us turned and looked at us...laughing. I was so embarrassed!)

Merry Christmas!

Well, for the past five days, I have re-lived the life of a bachelor. Sara and Cameron have been in Michigan since Thursday and I have spent the weekend alone. It has been somewhat bitter sweet. I have been able to do a few things that I haven't been able to do in a long time, things that I used to take for granted before Cameron was born. I can't remember the last time I was able to go to the gym, eat out for both lunch and dinner, watch one movie in the theater and another at home, and stay out until nearly midnight, all in one single day. However, that's exactly what I did on Saturday. And it was a lot of fun. On the other hand though, I haven't missed somebody over the course of just a few days as much as I have Cameron this weekend. He and Sara are my life now and there's nothing I'd rather be doing than spending time with them. Even if that time is spent lugging Cameron in and out of his car seat, washing bottles, and changing diapers. These have become some of my favorite things to do. So, it comes as no surprise to me that I can hardly wait for tomorrow when I can finally fly out to meet them in Detroit. Below are some of the pictures that Sara has emailed me since she's been gone. Cameron has done really well for her. We are so proud of him and feel super blessed to have such a well behaved little man as our son. I am really looking forward to getting out to him.
