6 months

Happy 6 months my baby girl!

You are such a fun little girl! You always have a smile on your face and love to be around people. You love your brother the most and will laugh at anything he does. He is the only one that can get you to bust a gut with laughter. I love that.

You are still behind on your crawling and seem pretty content just sitting up playing with toys.

Fine by me, more time to baby proof. Thanks! :)

You are perfect for our family. We adore you and your precious face every single day.

Getting big

Time sure goes by fast when you are busy. 

Being pregnant with Cameron I remembered every detail. I knew how many weeks and days I was throughout the entire pregnancy, I wrote down a lot of what was going on, I blogged on a regular basis....He couldn't get here soon enough.

Once he came, time moved faster and I felt like he was growing up right before my eyes. 

Enter second child. Time SPEEDS by.

I was lucky to remember my due date, let alone how far along I was.

Poor girl rarely gets blogged about, has less than 1/2 the pictures we have of Cam at her age  

and time does not stop!

Here she is almost 6 months!

 As fast as I feel Ali is getting, this boy hasn't stopped.

Trick or Treat!

I loved Halloween so much this year. I knew Ali had to be a ladybug because we call her Ali bug. (Plus, doesn't every baby girl need to be a ladybug their first halloween?)

Cam wanted to be a bug like her, and talked about it for months. He couldn't decide between a rolly polly or a dragonfly. Both costumes were impossible to find online or at stores, so I knew I would need to make it. I was pretty scared for that responsibilty and surely procrastinated until the last minute (week before halloween) but we did it! Cam was a dragonfly. The best dragonfly ever! I was more than pleased with our design and Cam got lots of compliments while we were out that day.

Scott and I don't usually dress up. Halloween dressing up isn't our thing. With Cam being older and more into the holidays, we had to dress up too. We would have been duds if we didn't!

I was a butterfly and Scott was a bug catcher. It was so fun and I am so glad it all came together so nicely. Yay for easy costumes!

Crash!

What a crazy Thursday we had.

Cameron had the stomach flu and literally could not get off the toilet. Man, it was horrible to watch your poor baby suffer. He didn't understand what was going on and was just miserable. He did amazingly well though, considering this was his first illness like this since being potty trained.

I wasn't sure how I would be able to take care of Ali and help Cam in the bathroom, so Scott stayed home from work. Thank goodness, because really, he sat in the bathroom all day. (I know I keep referring to that and it is gross, but I need to so I can remember.)

I was going to Target to get Cameron some pedialyte and a Chugginton train to help cheer him up. I had Ali with me and we were on our way. I was turning left to get on 500 S and a young kid pulled out of the McDonald's driveway right in front of me and we hit him. It was so terrifying! I wasn't going fast, since I had just finished turning left, but knowing my Ali was in the car sent me into a crazy, crying mess! It all happened so fast. I didn't hear Ali crying either, so that made me panic even more. I ran out of the car so fast and pulled her car seat out then got out of the intersection. Ali was ok and actually didn't make a peep the entire time this was happening. Which is a good thing, I had enough tears for the both of us.

There was this wonderful women that stopped after she saw the accident and came and sat by me. She was so sweet and took pictures of the car and even tried calling Scott for me. She patiently waited with me until the police arrived.

All I wanted was for Scott to be there. I tried calling him over and over, on his cell and the house phone, but he didn't hear them because...he was in the bathroom with Cam.

I was on the phone with Scott's brother, Brian, when the accident happened, so he and Lady were on their way immediatly. Lady went to the house to be with Cameron and Scott and Brian came up to the accident. It felt like forever waiting for them, but it was probably only 15 or so minutes. It was a blessing to be so close to home.

The other car that was in the accident had a bunch of teenagers (too many for their car actually) and nobody was injured, thankfully.

Yay for good car seats! Ali was fine and like I said, so calm during this whole thing. She even took a nap as we waited for the police to finish up the report. That took forever!

I had flip flops on and broke my toe, but that was it.

I am so grateful that my precious baby was ok. I am so grateful that nobody else in the other car was hurt. I am grateful Scott was home from work that day and was able to be there for us. I am grateful we live so close to family and they were able to be there so quickly as well. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father watched over my family that day.

(I'm also grateful it was their fault and our car was fixed by their insurance. Sorry teenager for even higher premiums. Next time don't squeeze 6 people in your jeep either)

Pumpkin Carving

Carving pumpkins this year was so fun because Cam was even more into it. He loved it, although the pumpkin guts grossed him out. He wouldn't touch it without squirming a little.

Scott managed to find time to carve his while on baby napping duty. Good job!

Cam picked his own pumpkin at the pumpkin patch and said he wanted to do dinosaurs on it. It turned out really cute and he loved it!

Logan Pumpkin Walk

We were invited to the annual pumpkin walk in Logan by our friend, Kim. We had so much fun and hope to make it a tradition every year.

Cam loved the bus ride and I'm pretty sure it was the highlight of the night for him.

It was SO busy and the line was GINORMOUS. We decided to go in and the end and walk opposite of everyone. Ha. I'm glad we did or we still would have been waiting in line.

They had these cute cut outs for the kids to put their faces through. This is my all time favorite. Cam loves Clifford. I wonder if he minded he is the girl? :)

Halloween Festivities Part 1

I love this time of year. I especially love to fill my days with fun activities for the kids!

We took the kids to the South Towne Expo center for a special Halloween Trick-or-Treating activity.

I of course had to dress them up in their Halloween outfits!

We always go to the pumpkin patch and planned a Saturday we could go with Scott's family. (Rob had practice for the play)

Cam loves pumpkins. He loved to walk all over the patch and pick up every single pumpkin. Our cart was so full by the end, we had to sort out all of "Cam's" pumpkins before we left, or we would have left with our own pumpkin patch.

I love everything about the fall...and especially this nice day. Notice: No coats!! Ahhhh Perfect!
